I want to create a system that allows you to read and respond to your text messages while driving a car. This system would prevent texting while driving which we all know has caused many tragic accidents. I came up with this idea by thinking about what happened to a friend of mine. My friend was texting and driving a few years ago and unfortunately it ended with him being killed by an oil tanker. This made me think about what I can do to try and prevent others from texting and driving.
This system would cost a few hundred dollars extra when purchasing a car but would definitely be worth every penny. Everyone who activates there Bluetooth texting system in the car will be able to keep their eyes on the road while communicating to anyone they would like, without having to call them. When he or she first activates the system they will be asked to recite the alphabet once and it will store your voice, that way there won’t be too much confusion when creating a texting message out loud. I know from firsthand experience that some people don’t like to activate there Bluetooth when other people are in the car because they want privacy. Therefore when you enter your car you will be asked "connect Bluetooth texting" your response can either be yes or no.
If this system were created I think many people would purchase it because it would make them feel like they can connect with anyone no matter if they are driving or not. I hope I can help to create this system. If there is anyone out there with ideas please comment!
